To supervise other therapists on MLC you need 5 or more years of experience as a therapist. You apply from your therapist profile, the MLC team reviews your application, and once you have signed the supervision contract you are listed in the supervisor directory, where therapists book sessions with you.

Who can become a supervisor?
Therapists with 5 or more years of experience. You also need a therapist profile on MLC first, because the supervisor application sits inside it. Only supervisors with 5+ years appear in the supervisor directory.
What do supervisors do?
You support other therapists with their casework: reflective supervision, ethical consultation and guidance on their work with clients. Therapists book one-to-one supervision sessions with you, and your sessions run in the same private video room as everything else on MLC.
How are rates and terms set?
You set your own supervision rate, and it shows on your supervisor profile in the directory before anyone books. The rest of the terms are in the supervision contract, which MLC emails you once your application is approved.
How do therapists find me?
Therapists browse the supervisor directory and can also use the supervision matching form to describe what they are looking for. Your profile shows your areas of supervision, modalities and approach.
How it works
From application to your first supervisee
Create your therapist account
Sign up as a therapist and complete your profile. If you already have one, you are ready for the next step.
Open the supervisor application
In your profile, find the Supervisor Application. Add the years you have supervised, your areas and modalities, and your approach.
Answer a few questions about how you supervise
Short written answers on how you work with high-risk situations, when you would escalate or reassign a case, how you give difficult feedback, and what you are working on as a supervisor.
Wait for review
The MLC team reviews your eligibility and your answers. Your profile shows that the application is under review.
Sign the contract and go live
Once approved, the supervision contract is emailed to you. Sign it, and you are listed in the supervisor directory.
